St. Hildegund was a Praemonstratensian abbess, the widow of Count Lothair. She was the daughter of Count Herman and Countess Hedwig. As a widow she went on a pilgrimage to Rome, and as a result turned her castle in Neer, near Cologne. Germany, into a convent, becoming abbess.
Hildegund died in 1183. Her Feast Day is February 6.
